To install Passive Purple, you simply need to ensure the material or
surface is dust-free, solid and closed before starting the application.

Passive Purple Brush is a much thicker fibre-reinforced paintbrush
applied version of Passive Purple. commonly used for heavy-duty
areas such as the preparation of connections, service penetrations,
joist zones and for larger gap bridging – thereby replacing the need
for tapes and silicones.

For small areas and repairs or remedial works, Passive Purple Brush
can be used with a flat paintbrush. In this case, an airless spray
device is not needed. The wall/ceiling/slab connections also need to
be made airtight, certainly when the connections are made of two
different types of construction materials such as red brick/concrete,
steel/concrete, or timber and block work. Different construction
materials react differently to changes in humidity or temperature
and move at different rates which can lead to small cracks in plaster
or any other type of finishing, and so creating air leaks that will cause
the energy performance of your building to suffer and potentially
open the gateway for damp and mould to appear. For these
wall/ceiling/slab connections, Three products can be used: Passive
Purple which is sprayed with an airless paint spray device, Passive
Purple brush which is applied by brush, or if you have really large
movement and gaps, then our airtight fleece tapes can work.
