The waterproof paint membrane dries to a flexible membrane solution with high crack bridging properties. Roller applied (with a long haired roller). No corner reinforcements needed.

  • Description

    Poseidon on steroids, waterproof blue is an advanced version which not only keeps vapour out, but it also has UV protection to ensure your surfaces are both water and sun resistant and won’t disintegrate over time.

    Ideal For: Application prior to tiling bathrooms, wet/stream-rooms, cement surfaces and concrete floors. 

    How’s it applied? Roller or a Paintbrush

    What Makes Waterproof Blue Unique? UV resistant, no corner reinforcements required upon application.

    Techy Corner: Waterproof Blue is a liquid applied membrane that is polymer based and dries to a flexible membrane after application. It has high-cracking bridging properties.

  • Uses

    Suitable Substrates

    Ideal for the waterproofing of concrete, bricks and cement based surfaces in showers, bathrooms, steam areas and wet rooms that need waterproofing prior to tiling.

    Application

    • STEP 1 – Fill the joints between the surface, and the draining and tubes with a paintable waterproof sealant. When these joints are < 5mm, enlarge these
      before applying the sealant.
    • STEP 2 – Apply the Waterproof Blue, waterproof paint membrane with a longhaired roller or a paintbrush in two coats. Coverage in 2 layers is minimal 800gr/m2, or 2 layers of approx. 400 gr/m2 depending on the roughness of the substrate. Second layer to be applied crosswise on the first layer, when the first layer has dried out.  Make sure to check for complete coverage.
    • STEP 3 –When the second layer of Waterproof Blue, water proof paint membrane has dried out (24 to 48 hours after application), apply tiling as finishing. Suitable tiling glues include: cement glue class C2 or dispersion glue class D2TE, according EN12004
